Better Bedrock Client V5+
Better Bedrock Client is a texture pack that makes your gaming experience even better by improving the user interface and adding helpful mods like an armor and direction HUD, as well as counters for day, speed, and potions. It also helps reduce lag a bit by getting rid of unnecessary elements and optimizing some parts of Minecraft. All the mods listed below are created with code, allowing you to customize other texture packs, including textures for items, blocks, and the user interface.

Accessing Mod Menu
- To access the mod menu, pause the game and click the green M button in the bottom left corner two times. If you’re using a controller, make sure to enable the right subpack in the pack settings found under settings/global resources/bb pack.
- The gray numbers next to the options show the configuration values, which makes it easier to edit the settings.
- To save your mod settings, go to the Better Bedrock Texture Pack in your local files at com.mojang/resource_packs/betterbedrock…/ui/_global_variables.json. Open the _global_variables.json file and change the values (for example, change true to false, 0.6 to 0.8, or 2.4 to 4.0).

Known Issues:
- The long loading time for the HUD happens because we are using an old UI engine to make Better Bedrock. This means that all the HUD elements take a while to load. Unfortunately, we can’t load them based on what you can see, so everything loads at the same time. This can cause lag spikes when you enter a world.
- Laggy gameplay is also connected to the old UI engine and some of our dynamic mods, like the armor and direction HUD, which aren’t really optimized. If you turn off some mods, especially the dynamic ones, you should see less lag.
- You might not see the touch controls customization options in the HUD. This is because the custom elements from Better Bedrock are so big that they just disappear. Unfortunately, we can’t get them back.
- The default Minecraft cape isn’t visible because of the Dynamic Mods that change the player model to show more complex details. If you wear a Minecraft cape, other players can still see it, but you won’t see it from your point of view. To fix this, we added a custom cape that only users with the Better Bedrock Texture Pack can see. To add this cape, just edit your skin image by adding 2 pixels to the top left corner.
